Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Glico mobile application (“Service”, “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

Glico is a blood glucose tracking application that helps users log and monitor their glucose readings through:

  • Manual blood glucose logging with context and notes
  • Live dashboard with daily averages, last value, range, and on-target percentage
  • Detailed logbook with history and analytics
  • Custom target ranges per measurement context
  • Home screen and lock screen widgets
  • Smart reminders and notifications
  • Optional iCloud synchronization via CloudKit
  • Apple Health integration via HealthKit
  • CSV export for sharing data with healthcare providers

Medical Disclaimer

Glico is a data logging tool only. It does not provide medical advice, diagnose medical conditions, or replace your doctor or healthcare professional. Do not make medical decisions based solely on data displayed in this app. Always consult a qualified healthcare specialist for any health-related decisions.

License to Use

Grant of License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Glico for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

Restrictions

You may not:

  • Modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Circumvent any premium features or purchase requirements

In-App Purchases

Glico may offer optional in-app purchases to unlock additional features. Specific pricing and terms will be detailed within the App at the time of purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple’s payment terms.

Auto-Renewable Subscriptions (if applicable)

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
  • Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
  • You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings
  • Any unused portion of a free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a subscription

User Data and Privacy

Your Data

  • You retain full ownership of all blood glucose data and personal content you create in Glico
  • We process your data according to our Privacy Policy
  • You can export your data as CSV or delete it at any time

HealthKit

  • If you enable the Apple Health integration, Glico reads and writes blood glucose data to your private Apple Health database
  • HealthKit data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties

Backup and Sync

  • Local data backup is your responsibility
  • iCloud sync is provided as-is and subject to Apple’s iCloud service availability
  • We are not responsible for data loss resulting from device failure, iCloud issues, or app deletion

Acceptable Use

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the App to store or share content that is unlawful, harmful, or abusive
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems or data
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the App

Intellectual Property

Our Rights

  • Glico and all related trademarks are owned by Francesco Bianco
  • The App’s design, code, and functionality are protected by copyright
  • All rights not expressly granted are reserved

Your Content

  • You retain full rights to your glucose data and personal content
  • We do not claim ownership over data you log in the App

Disclaimers

Health and Medical

  • Glico is for informational and tracking purposes only
  • The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider for health-related questions
  • Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it based on information in this app

Service Availability

  • We strive to keep the App functional but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service
  • The App may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance or updates
  • We are not liable for any service interruptions

Limitation of Liability

Maximum Liability

Our total liability to you for any damages shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Excluded Damages

We are not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Data loss (beyond reasonable backup efforts)
  • Third-party service failures (e.g., iCloud, Apple Health, App Store)
  • Health decisions made based on data displayed in the App

Termination

Your Right to Terminate

  • You may stop using the App at any time
  • Delete the App to terminate your use and remove local data

Our Right to Terminate

We may suspend or terminate your access if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent activity
  • Abuse our systems or support team

Updates and Changes

App Updates

  • We may release updates to improve functionality, security, and compatibility
  • Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of any revised Terms

Terms Changes

  • We may modify these Terms from time to time
  • Significant changes will be communicated through the App or this page
  • Your continued use constitutes acceptance of revised Terms

Apple App Store Terms

Additional Terms

  • Your use of Glico is also subject to Apple’s App Store Terms of Service
  • Apple is not responsible for the App or these Terms
  • In case of conflict, Apple’s terms take precedence for App Store-related issues

Third Party Beneficiary

Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

Standard End User License Agreement (EULA)

By using Glico, you also agree to Apple’s Standard EULA: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/

Support and Contact

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the use of Glico.

By downloading, installing, or using Glico, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
